On Tuesday, April 15, Google began rolling out a new feature for Gemini, its artificial intelligence tool. Now, it will be able to generate videos from text.
Veo 2, as it has been named by the company, was introduced in the paid version of Gemini and in the Whisk app for subscribers to the Google One premium AI plan.
To use it, simply access Veo 2 from the model menu of Gemini Advanced and send your text command. It’s ideal to provide as much information as possible, such as the scene, genre, and type of camera to be used in the video generation.

Veo 2 is capable of generating realistic images because, according to Google, it has a better understanding of physics. However, it’s important to note that the AI has the ability to reject video creation if it deems the command questionable.
“We’ve taken important steps to make video generation a safe experience,” said Google. “This includes a thorough red teaming process [focused on identifying vulnerabilities] and evaluations aimed at preventing the creation of content that violates our policies.”
